Take Action

There are many ways to take part in our campaigning. Take action through praying for our work across the world and our members in your area. Find out what Mothers’ Union members are doing in your area and support their work in prayer.

Help us highlight the commercialisation of childhood by writing to your MP or local newspaper about the issue. Include examples you have seen in the media or shops and as far as possible use your own words to explain the impact this has on your family and loved ones.

Tell us how industry guidelines on advertising are being applied in your area by completing our marketing surveys in shops and open spaces near you. Outdoor advertising, magazine and clothing industries have all produced guidelines on marketing to children and we need to know how these are being applied across the country. Take a couple of minutes to let us know.

Use ParentPort to complain about content that you find inappropriate for children. This one stop website directs your complaints to the relevant regulatory body for television, radio, marketing and advertising. Please help us raise awareness of this easy to use website.

Read Faith & Policy Watch, our monthly faith and policy newsletter available on the website, for the latest information on our campaigns, our responses to consultations, and comments on government policy.
